Some studies of public opinion suggest that most people are ignorant about the detail of politics and are simply unable to arrive at a considered vote. They hold that voters are ignorant about the ideological substance of politics, since their opinions do not appear to be constrained by ideas and are unstable over time. However, other studies cast doubt on both the definition of ideology employed in these studies and their operational measures. It is suggested that, once allowance is made for measurement error, the opinions of most voters are constrained and highly stable. This article demonstrates that differences in political awareness result in considerable heterogeneity among the electorate. The opinions of more aware voters are subject to greater constraint and are more stable over time than those of less aware voters. It is therefore suggested that issue-voting models must be applied with caution to less aware voters.
Some commentators have suggested that political awareness is about sensitivity to public policy and government, and the agendas driving politicians. In its broadest sense, however—and certainly in the sense in which it is used in Emotional Intelligence—political awareness is about understanding the ‘currents’, or hidden agendas, in an organisation, and particularly the power relationships. Many people may have been put off the idea of being politically aware by seeing people ‘playing politics’ or trying to manipulate others uses political tactics. But used wisely and well, political awareness is a force for good, and for getting things done in organisations, and it is an essential skill in life. The ability to read the politicians agendas by listening how they are going to make the difference in running government policies. Also, knowing what has been not so good for the country and our Constitutional beliefs according to current laws and how they have been handled in the past.
Henceforth, “KOTA EDUCATION AND CHARITABLE TRUST” State Political Awareness Committee takes up right based activities in every State to bring the social awareness among the people.
As an Indian we have to clean our country this is every Indian’s duty. Our vote chooses our future and society development. So we have to vote for only right person with taking any bribes, gifts, and money. The public affected activities like in the time of elections spending and distributing money to the public, etc… to elect them. Distribution of campaign funds to party candidates etc. first we have to motivate, educate the public through political awareness camps and programs.
